Issue:

XCOMT0416E ERROR WRITING OUTPUT FILE ERROR #45 when sending from XCOM for z/OS to XCOM for HP Nonstop.

Cause:

Error XCOMT0416E indicates that the default space allocated for the file on HP Nonstop is too small.

Resolution/Workaround:

  1. Override this by specifying the SPACE parameter on the sending side.

For example, on MVS, specify
SPACE=(BLK,(xx,yy,zz))

    xx is the Primary allocation

      yy is the secondary

        zz is the total MAXEXTENTS

        NOTE: TRK or CYL can be specified instead of BLK.

        2. On the HP Nonstop side, specify DEALLOC_EXTENTS=YES in the XCOMCONF File to deallocate all unused extents past the end of the file.
