With the Browser Agent installed, not seeing the browseragent.pbd file. Also, it is not in the examples folder in another Agent where the Browser Agent is not installed.

 Question:

I have installed a 10.2 WebSphere Agent with the Browser Agent installed.  I have also installed a 10.2 Websphere Agent without the Browser Agent installed.  In the agent installed with no Browser Agent selected, there are no Browser Agent files, even in the examples directory. I then untarred the noinstaller agent for WebSphere and looked at the noinstaller directory.  In checking the examples/APM/BrowerAgent and under that I see only the ext and js directory but no config.

I then checked the agent where I had specified to install Browser Agent and see all the files installed and the websphere-typical.pbl has the  browseragent.pbd uncommented but I do not see this in the config directory and it does not seem to appear in the examples directory either.

 What could be wrong?

 Environment:

 All APM Environments

 Answer:

Both non-installers (Windows and UNIX) from the APM support site for 10.2 contain the browseragent.pbd after unzipping them.

Both the Windows and UNIX agent installers will install the pbd if you select yes agreeing to the browseragent license.  If rejecting the license agreement (or on UNIX, leave  the Eula file set to reject), then the browseragent.pbd file will not be installed.

Also, in the non-installer config directory, the browseragent.pbd file is there.  It is not in the examples directory.
