Issue:

In CA Spectrum 10.1, functionality was added to support Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).  After modeling the WLC, there are no Access Point (AP) models.

Cause:

This can happen by either/both:

1.  The AP are not modeled if you did not select the "Create Wireless Access Points" option in the Modeling Options area of the Discovery Configuration

2.  You modeled the WLC by utilizing the "New Model By IP" or "New Model By Type" options.

Resolution:

As part of this functionality, the Access Points are created as pingable models in CA Spectrum.  If you do not have them due to modeling by option 1 or option 2 above, then you can create them by navigating to the WLC Manager model in the Spectrum Explorer view and going to the Component Detail area.  Open the "Configuration" and select the "Run" button to run the Access Point Discovery.
