Question:
I have a requirement that forces enabling the "UAC: Only elevate executables that are signed and validated" local security setting for all Windows servers. This corresponds to setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\ValidateAdminCodeSignatures with a DWORD value of 1.

Can you confirm whether the installers and interactive management tools are signed in this manner for Service Desk Manager and Service Catalog?
Answer:
Service Desk Manager's executables are not signed with a software certificate. It's possible many of the features of Service Desk Manager will work fine with this feature enabled, but any attempt to manually execute an application may fail.
Our recommendation to to exclude Service Management servers from having this feature enabled.
