Question:
Why does my SpectroSERVER crash in Spectrum 10.2.3 with BMP 301 installed when it receives a SNMPv3 trap that is being sent from a device that has multiple interfaces with different ip addresses that sends the trap?
Environment:
Spectrum 10.2.3
BMP_10.2.301 installed
Answer:
There is a bug in trap procesing for SNMPv3 devices that send traps from different interfaces that have multiple ip addresses and this may result in the Primary or Secondary SpectroSERVER in crashing.
Please request patch 10.02.03.D382 from Support which is to be installed on top of 10.2.3 BMP 301 that is installed.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in Spectrum 10.3.
