Why do left and right shift keys not work after upgrade ?

Question:

With a new install, why do the left or right shift keys not to be working ? The data on the left or right is not visible.

 Answer:

  • First, confirm the version of CTLICMDS is valid for your Endevor release. Logon to Endevor and issue the 'TSO ISRDDN' command. Next, issue the 'MEM CTLICMDS' command. That will display where the file was loaded from. Confirm it is loaded from the correct version and the it is allocated under the 'ISPTLIB'
  • If that looks O.K., next logon on to Endevor and drive a list of elements. Split screen, and issue the 3.9 command (Command Table Utility) . Select application id 'CTLI' or the applid you are using for Endevor. You should see:

If you do not see LEFT or RIGHT, you are loading an invalid command table. Confirm you have the correct allocation for your release.
