Planning to implement System Status Detection (SSD) partitioning protocol to discover the status of failed systems in a sysplex during sysplex recovery processing.
And formatting a new CDS with the ITEM NAME(SSTATDET) NUMBER(1) control statement.
However, when you try to switch to this new CDS, the following messages appear upon console:
IXC103I SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION 772
CONNECTION STATUS: NOT CONNECTED
SYSTEM NAME: SYSC
SYSTEM NUMBER: 0400115D
IMAGE NAME: SYSC
NODE DESCRIPTOR: 002817.IBM.51.0000000820E2
PARTITION NUMBER: 03
CPC ID: 00
NETWORK ADDRESS: IBM390PS.KESHEV2
IPL TOKEN: NOT AVAILABLE
IXC104I SYSTEM STATUS DETECTION PARTITIONING PROTOCOL ELIGIBILITY: 773
SYSTEM CAN TARGET OTHER SYSTEMS.
SYSTEM IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE TARGETED BY OTHER SYSTEMS.
REASON: INSUFFICIENT SAF RESOURCE ACCESS AUTHORITY
IXC107E SYSTEM STATUS DETECTION PARTITIONING PROTOCOL CONFIGURATION IS NOT COMPLETE
At present time, you are running XCFAS with *BYPASS* acid.
We would suggest the following implementation when using SSD and BCPii:
- Defined and acid for the XCFAS A/S giving it the STC facility and all the bypass attributes like:
NODSNCHK NOVOLCHK NORESCHK NOLCFCHK NOSUBCHK.
Adding those bypass attributes to the XCFAS acid is equivalent to the RACF trusted attribute.
That acid should have a non-expiring password and option 4 has to be set.
Also the XCFAS acid needs an OMVS segment. Don't forget to issue a TSS MODI OMVSTABS after adding a group, default group and OMVS segment to that acid.
- Also add the "HWI.TARGET.netid.nau" permit with the APPLDATA(community-name) parameter to the * ALL* record with access READ.
Make sure, there is no typo and there are no invalid mixed cases like the community name is case sensitive.
