Question:

We have a machine that has the following products and modules installed :

WCC r11.4 SP3

WAAE r11.3.6 SP4 Client and SDK

We plan to install the RO90777 : LNX-WAAE 11.3.6 SP4 CUM1 on it.

In the RO90777 Readme file in the installation instructions we can find:

The following options are required if -v or -h are not specified:

-t C|K|S|W Specifies the type of the original install.

Options are:

C - CA Workload Automation AE client install

K - CA Workload Automation AE SDK install

S - CA Workload Automation AE server, shadow, or tie-breaker install

W - CA Workload Control Center install

-f <fix_number> Specifies the number associated with the fix.

The question is which options do we need to use when we have “WCC” , “SDK” and “Client” installed.

Should we run the installation 3 times ?

Environment:

WCC r11.4 SP3 Release

WAAE r11.3.6 SP4 Client and SDK

Answer:

You will need to install the patch only once with the –t C option.

This is because the –t C will also upgrade the SDK.

The –t W is for the machines where there is No WAAE “Client”.

So as you do have a WAAE “Client” installed on this machine, you will need to run only once the following command :

./Install_INCR.sh -t C -f RO90777
