Question:

I down-loaded the CA Common Services BASE files and completed the install. I do not have any Earl modules. Where would I find them?

Answer:

If you need the CA-Earl modules, you would need to install the CA-Earl Common Service which is included within the CA Common Services LEGACY package. This package can be obtained at the same location where you downloaded the BASE package. You will see the LEGACY package listed as follows:

CCS - LEGACY - ESD ONLY
E11401AW030.pax.Z

If you are installing using Pax-Enhanced ESD Files (ie. using SAMPJCL) you would use the same SAMPJCL data set used for the BASE install. You will need to allocate the necessary target and distribution libraries and define the necessary DDDEFS to the same CSI in which you installed the BASE. See SAMPJCL members CCS1ALL and CCS2CSID.

If you are installing using CA Chorus Software Manager (CSM) be sure to install into the same CSI. If during the process the installation wizard does not present you with the option to select the CA Common Services SMPCSI you previously created for the BASE install, exit the wizard and add the CA Common Services SMPCSI to your working set.

Additional Information:

Refer to the CA Common Services Installation Guide, chapter 2 "Preparing for Installation" to see a table containing the various component FMIDs and the package in which each component is delivered.
