QUESTION:  Where does the "Percentage of models activated" message seen in the SpectroSERVER VNM.OUT file come from? I see it in the VNM.OUT file on some of my SpectroSERVER systems in the Distributed SpectroSERVER environment but not in all.

ANSWER:  The "Percentage of models activated" message in the SpectroSERVER VNM.OUT is seen when the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file contains the following parameter:

wait_active=yes

The "SpectroSERVER (.vnmrc) Resources" section Spectrum 10 document and in the "Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide" for Spectrum 9.4 and below has the following for the "wait_active" parameter in the .vnmrc file:

wait_active

Determines whether the server accepts connections as soon as all models are loaded or waits until all models are active. If set to Yes, a Control Panel message displays a running percentage of models that were activated during SpectroSERVER startup.

This command has the following format:

wait_active=no

Default: no.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  For more information on the .vnmrc file, please reference the "SpectroSERVER (.vnmrc) Resources" section Spectrum 10 document and in the "Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide" for Spectrum 9.4 and below.
