Journal reports identify verbs by a "verb number".  For example:.

BFOR   SYST5555  09/24/14  20.39.17.64      1787812413   182290829
THIS IS A NATIVE IDMS RECORD
16  PG DISPLACEMENT         48 PREFIX LENGTH
1030  USER RECORD ID          92 USER RECD LENGTH        35 VERB NUMBER

The verb numbers are documented in the manual "CA-IDMS DML Reference Guide for Cobol" manual, Appendix D, "CA IDMS Call Formats", "DB Call Formats".  The numbers in the IDBMSCOM(nn) column are the VERB NUMBERs as listed in a JREPORT 008.

For example, 35 is a MODIFY (scroll down to the third page of the table, under MODIFICATION STATEMENTS).
