Introduction:
Journal reports report DML statement by "verb number". Where are these verb numbers documented?
Question:

Journal reports identify verbs by a "verb number".  For example:

BFOR SYST5555 09/24/14 20.39.17.64 1787812413 182290829
THIS IS A NATIVE IDMS RECORD
16 PG DISPLACEMENT 48 PREFIX LENGTH
1030 USER RECORD ID 92 USER RECD LENGTH 35 VERB NUMBER
Where are these verb numbers documented?
Environment:
CA IDMS, all supported releases.
Answer:
The verb numbers are documented in the Call Formats (COBOL) section of the DML Reference for Cobol manual.
Use the DB Call Formats (COBOL) and DC Call Formats (COBOL) menu items at the left to drill down to each sub-section.
For the DB Call Formats, the numbers in the IDBMSCOM(nn) column are the VERB NUMBERs as listed in a JREPORT 008.
For example, 35 is a MODIFY.
