Description:

When trying to perform a manual Email notification from within CA Service Catalog, the error 'From Email id is not assigned' pops up even though the Email connection under Configuration/Mail Server tests successfully.

Solution:

For manual email notification to work, we need to configure the From Email Address under the Service Configuration Section of Service Catalog.

  1. Log on to Service View.

  2. Go to Service Builder -> Configuration -> Request Management Configuration -> Request Email: From Address

  3. Specify the email address and update the configuration.

  4. Restart Service View.

Now try sending a manual Email Notification from Service Catalog.
