When trying to perform a manual Email notification from within CA Service Catalog, the error 'From Email id is not assigned' pops up even though the Email connection under Configuration/Mail Server tests successfully.
For manual email notification to work, we need to configure the From Email Address under the Service Configuration Section of Service Catalog.
- Log on to Service View.
- Go to Service Builder -> Configuration -> Request Management Configuration -> Request Email: From Address
- Specify the email address and update the configuration.
- Restart Service View.
Now try sending a manual Email Notification from Service Catalog.
