Question:

When trying to create a Policy Set, getting error 'LDP6104E Unable to execute INSERT SQL statement errcode=(19) errmsg=(constraint failed) error.', how do I address this error?

Answer:

There are multiple causes for this error. The underlying reason is SQL restrictions in the policy database. Reasons this can happen are:

  • The Policy Set name cannot be longer that 16 characters. The LDP6104E error can occur if the Policy Set name is greater than 16 characters.
  • There is already a policy set in the database with the same name in the policy database.

To correct the error, ensure that the policy set name meets these criteria.
