When the cube is executed from the gina (by clicking the link/url from the gina login page) there is a considerable delay displaying the 'Forgotten Password' page.

Description:

The cube points to an IdentityManagerForgottenPasswordReset task. End-users may experience delays when accessing the forgotten password link from the MSGina Login Screen.

It may be observed that it takes an unacceptable time before the Forgotten Password page is displayed. This delay only happens when the cube is executed from the gina.

Solution:

The cube is executed in context of the SYSTEM user.

The SYSTEM user uses the Internet settings of the Default User under

'HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections'

Change the Key 'DefaultConnectionSettings' to uncheck the auto detect proxy setting.

To change this key, modify your current Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings and make sure that "Use a proxy server for your LAN is not marked.

Then access the same registry key, but for HKEY_CURRENT_USERS

Copy the value of this key into the clip board. Then access the HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT and paste the value into the 'DefaultConnectionSettings' here.

This resolves the timeout problem.
