When installing the ITCM Universe using the "Install CA ITCM BIR" option in the installation wizard, it fails with "ConfigureUniverse exits with 11".

When installing the ITCM Universe into BOXI on a 64 bit Windows Operating System, using the installation wizard, the error below occurs after clicking "Deploy" on the final step of the installation.

Runtime Exception occurred
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x000000A3): Connection failed
at System.RuntimeType.ForwardCallToInvokeMember(String memberName, BindingFlags flags, Object target, Int32[] aWrapperTypes, MessageData& msgData)
at Designer.ITable.ParseDerivedTable()
at ConfigureUniverse.ConfigureUniverse.updateDTQuery(String dtName, String dtQuery)
ConfigureUniverse exits with 11

If you are on a 64 bit operating system, configuring the ODBC under "Administrative Tools" will not be sufficient.

The 32 Bit Data Source (ODBC) needs to be configured.

The 32 Bit Data Source (ODBC) gets installed with the CABI install at:
Start -> All Programs -> BusinessObjects XI 3.1 -> Business Objects Enterprise -> 32 Bit Data Source (ODBC)

Make sure the default database is set to 'mdb' and not 'master'

Now follow the prompts to complete the process and attempt the install again.
