Description:

While installing CMDB R12.1 on Windows 2008, during the configuration process, the following errors may occur:

'Task failed (Start CA Service Desk service(s) in db admin mode.). Continue?'

or

'Task Failed (Load System Data).continue?'

Solution:

To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Services.msc

  2. Right click on the CA Service Desk Server service and choose 'Properties'.

  3. Under 'Logon' tab, choose 'This account' radio button and provide Administrator username and password as shown below:

  4. Now run the configuration manually using pdm_configure.

The configuration should now run successfully.
