Question:

When CA PDSMAN's PDSM37 utility processes some Program Objects, message PDSMRXP-01 is issued indicating BINDER error 83000505. What does this BINDER error mean and what is the impact to PDSM37 processing? How do we resolve this?

Answer:

The PDSM37 GENERATE and GENCOMP functions are dependent on the Program Management Binder API to read program object files (Executable programs contained in PDSE libraries).

The BINDER error 83000505 indicates the input program object was originally bound with the Not-Editable attribute.

For PDSM37 GENERATE processing, a CHECKSUM value of zero will be generated and processing will continue.
