When attempting to save a project back from MSP (Microsoft Project) to PPM, receive an error: Invalid value for field prName [Task Name].

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a new project in Microsoft Project

2. Create one task with a task name greater than 150 characters

3. Enter Start and Finish Dates for the task if not there already (values are required for saving a project to PPM)

4. Attempt to Save the project back to PPM

Expected Results: Project saves successfully to PPM

Actual Results: Receive error Invalid value for field prName [Task Name] (Task Name is the name of the task greater than 150 characters)

Applies to all supported PAS environments for specified releases.

This is working as designed. The maximum character length for a task in PPM is 150 characters.

Reduce the task name for the task in Microsoft Project to be less than 150 characters.

Tip: To check the length of task name:

1. Copy and paste the task name into to Microsoft Word

2. Click on the 'Review' tab

3. Click on the 'Word Count' button

A popup message will display that will show you the character count
