Issue:
When attaching Closed / Inactive Incidents to Active Problems the following error occurs - AHD04642: Failed to add child: INVALID No Message Available
Environment:
CA Service Desk Manager 14.1
CA Service Desk Manager 12.9
Solution:
This Error occurs if the Option EDIT_INACTIVE is installed with a value of NO. The NX.env file will have this variable @NX_EDIT_INACTIVE=No
'Edit_Inactive' option when installed with value of Yes, it prevents editing change orders, issues, or requests unless their status is Active. Default behavior is to allow editing of inactive tickets
In order to resolve this error Uninstall the Option EDIT_INACTIVE and restart the Service Desk Manager Services.
