When adding Windows Host as a monitoring target in snmpcollector probe, device Type of Windows Host is classified as 'Switch'

Issue:

Device Services property for Windows Domain Controller is classified as “SWITCH” rather than “HOST”, in snmpcollector probe.

USM also display the type of the device as "Switch".

Environment:
snmpcollector 3.31Target device is Windows Domain Controller (SNMP service enabled)
Cause:

This is a defect.

The defect have been fixed with DCD (device certification deployer) package 1.5

Resolution:
1. Deactivate snmpcollector probe.
2. Add a row (yellow highlighted) into <snmpcollector>\DeviceSupport\DeviceTypes.xml
Take a backup before editing.

3. Activate snmpcollector probe.
4. Run "Force Component Rediscovery" for Domain Controller Server profile.
    4-1. Go to snmpcollector > Profiles > Highlight profile name.
    4-2. Click options menu > Force Component Rediscovery
