What will happen if I don't have valid LMPKEYs for my Disaster Recovery site?

The LMPKEYs for our disaster recovery site/system run out in two weeks.
After that date, will ACF2 come up enough at the DR site for us to add current LMPKEYs?


All CA products will run without an LMP key, but you will get CAS9nnnx messages indicating that your license is invalid or expired. These messages do not impact the use of CA products, but the absence of an LMPKEY may limit the full functionality of the product. ACF2 will come up without a LMPKEY at the DR site and you will be able to get an EKG from TLC support to stop the messages.

From the CA Common Services Administrator Guide:

In emergency situations, such as disaster recovery, the Emergency Key Generator (EKG) can be used to quickly and efficiently activate all software in the mainframe site. It is not necessary to implement EKG to activate software in a disaster recovery situation, since CA LMP allows your CA solutions to run uninterrupted regardless of the CPU on which they are running.

Note: When bypassing EKG, enforcement software messages will be issued. These messages do not impact the operation of your CA products, but they will be visible on the system console, Event Console, batch joblog data sets, and to TSO users.
