A client end-user inadvertently deleted a report via the View Sysout Selection List.

Client believed that only people defined in their SARSECUX exit could delete reports from View.

They wanted to know as to how many ways an end-user can delete reports from View.

CA View 12.0, 12.1, 12.2

There are two basic ways that reports can be deleted from CA View:

. A delete ("D" or "DD") can be issued in the View Sysout Selection List.

. Use of the SARBCH /DELETE transaction, in a batch job.

Regarding security, to stop everyone from being able to delete reports via the View Sysout Selection List, issue SARINIT parameter DELETE=NO.

The client had security of SARINIT parm of SECURITY=INIT, with the SARSECUX exit being the only means of security being used.

In this case, the client had their SARSECUX exit coded in such a way that everyone dropped to RC=0 and was able to delete reports.
