Description:

If there is no data in the Netvoyant web report for an interface , you must check if this interface is well polled .

Solution:

Start the netvoyant console
Start a find on the router hostname
Click on the router hostname from the list to open it in the GUI
Go to the interface under the router
In the right panel , select the report t/summary to check if there is some datas
Right click on the interface and start mibrowse to check if the snmp requests well working(click on the top left box to start a query poll)
If there is no datas In the report , you must check the interface polling :

Select the alarm tab I nthe right windows of the NV console (still with the interface selected)
Status line at the bottom of the windows has : event_pollinst=####
Open a dos box on the NV console and type :
mysql -P3308 -D nms2 -t -e "select from_unixtime(tstamp), hcoutoctets_ from ifstats_poll where pollinst_id=xxxx order by tstamp desc"replacing xxxx by the poll instance

You must have some octets displayed for the current time

Then :

mysql -P3308 -D nms2 -t -e "select from_unixtime(tstamp), outoctets, out_ifutil from ifstats_rate where pollinst_id=xxxx order by tstamp desc"replacing xxxx by the poll instance

You must have some octets displayed for the current time
If only no data in the second query , this means that the datas collected do not follow the rules defined In the NV console/config frame:

polling/datasets/interface Statistics/"data validation" panel

Check these rules and if the interface mib2 datas correspond to themyou can also check the NV logs from the NV console if there is some validation rejects .
