Question:

Did you know:

when running RC/Migrator with Fast Unload and Fast Load and your model has Fast Check set off

why does the analyze end with RC=4 and RMA821W message ?

--  RMA821W A CA Fast Check license is required for CA Fast Load to enforce

--        constraints. ENFORCE NO will be generated for CA Fast Load, and

--        a check data utility will be generated if requested.

Answer:

If your used model has FAST CHECK  switched off, f.e. as in the DEFAULT model, like shown here:

MODEL ID ===> @DEFAULT DESCRIPTION ===> CUSTOM SUBSYSTEM DEFAULTS

CREATOR ===> USER01 SHAREOPTION ===> Y (U,Y,N) SSID ===> SSID

+ ---- LAST UPDATE ---- +

CMD SYM UTILITY OB DESCRIPTION SIZE + USER DATE TIME +

_ Y BIND P BIND (DSN)

_ Y CHECK TS CHECK DATA RIP

_ Y CHECK_R TS CHECK DATA - RECOVERY RIP

_ X COPY TS IMAGE COPY RIP

_ X COPY_PC TS IMAGE COPY - PRE SQL RIP

_ X COPY_R TS IMAGE COPY - RECOVERY RIP

_ X FCHECK TS FAST CHECK DATA RIP

The message RMA821W that appears is a Warning message and not an error message. You are receiving this warning message because you have selected the Fast Unload and Fast Load utilities in your strategy. These utilities require Fast Check to enforce constraints. Without Fast Check activated in your model, ENFORCE NO is added as a parameter in the Fast Load. The ENFORCE CONSTRAINTS keyword maintains system referential integrity and check constraints so that CA Fast Load can call CA Fast Check to check each row of table data.

Additional please check that the analysis option "Check Data" is set to Y for indicate whether you want to run the CHECK utility for any tables loaded with ENFORCE=NO.  This includes all foreign key alters. This field is ignored for REBIND Only and DDL Only analyses.
