Introduction:

In a scenario where CA Service Catalog gets performance degradation and the machine resources are highly used, customers may require CA to provide a Benchmark to determine the best way to tune or reconfigure their environment.

Question:

What is the IOPS (Input/Output per Second) generated by CA Service Catalog?

Environment:

CA Service Catalog r12.9 / 14.1

Windows operating systems.

Answer:

There isn't a Benchmark available to be used as reference for determining the IOPS generated by CA Service Catalog data processing.

This is hardware specific and dependent on the performance of the machine and performance between CA Service Catalog and any other products they are running Web Service calls against (like Service Desk or ITPAM).
