Question:

What is the difference in the runtime option of AUTOPROC and NO AUTOPROC for CA JCLCheck?

Answer:

AU or AUTOPROC option searches your JES2 or JES3 procedure libraries to expand the JCL procedure when performing CA JCLCheck.

NOAU or NOAUTOP allows you to bypass the JES2 or JES3 procedure libraries to expand the JCL proc.  With NOAU, you must specify the option PROC(ddname) and the ddname will refer to a single DD statement or concatenation of procedure libraries that you want to use for expansion when running CA JCLCheck.

For example:

  NOAU PROC(ALTPROC)

  //ALTPROC   DD  DISP=SHR,DSN=SYS1.PROCLIB
  //                DD  DISP=SHR, DSN=SYS2.PROCLIB
