Clarity PPM: How to Enable/Disable Email Notifications

Introduction:

The enabling of email requires a change in the Clarity system administrator (CSA). 
This requires a service restart, therefore the activity will need to be scheduled during a maintenance activity.
 
Question:
What information is needed to enable/disable email notifications in any Clarity PPM Environment?
Answer:
For OnPremise customers:
Navigate to the CSA > System page

To disable the mail server, make a change to any/all fields in the Mail Server section
so that authentication cannot occur. 
 
To enable the mail server, provide the required fields to authenticate.

For SaaS customers:
Please provide the environment/URL and approval to disable the mail server.
The SaaS team will need advance notice as this will require 48 hours lead time to schedule the activity and 30 minutes of downtime for this activity to be completed.
