What fields and values need to be populated in PPM CSA for SSO to integrate with CA PPM?
What CA PPM needs is the name of the Token and Token Type (Cookie or Header) configured in the Security Tab of the CSA.
Based on our documentation, here are the basic steps:
- Configure your SSO server and proxy server to point at CA PPM and to have it pass an authentication token that contains a valid CA PPM username.
- Configure the SSO server so that the entry URL is: http://<server>/niku/nu#action:npt.overview
- Then in our CSA (Security Tab) - we have the following settings based off of the Token Name you setup in your SSO Vendor:
Token Name: Specifies the HTTP cookie that CA PPM accepts as a valid authentication token for initiating a user session.
Token Type: Specifies the token type.
Cookie. The token is contained in a cookie.
Header. The token is contained in the message header.
Parameter. The token is provided in a parameter.
Once SSO is enabled via the checkbox in PPM CSA, Single Sign On SSO will control all logins, and when someone goes to CA Clarity, Single Sign On SSO will pass a token in the header with credential information in it.
