When we create a project, it has a field labeled 'Page Layout'. It is using a lookup that pulls up "Project Default Layout", "Program Layout" and some 'PMO' layouts. When I choose to switch between Project Default Layout and Program Layout, the project pages look the same. What is the field doing?
The CA PPM application is delivered with some stock Page Layouts and some layout from PMO Accelerator package installation.
- Program Page Layout
- Project Default Layout
- PMO-Program Status
- PMO-Project Status
- PMO-Project Storyboard
Both the 'Program Page Layout' and 'Project Default Layout' have a Page Type of Project which is why they both show up in the Page Layout drop list during project creation.
Within the CA PPM application you may setup your own page layout via Studio. If there is different content you want displayed with Projects, you can create a new page layout to select upon creation of the project. Because projects and programs are very similar, their page layouts are almost identical.
