Introduction:

Question:

/Spectrum/Install-Tools/SRM-Tools/poll_device.sh

Environment:
/Spectrum/Install-Tools/SRM-Tools/poll_device.sh
Answer:

1.   Manual Polling for Devices/Landscapes:

One will not need to restart tomcat, change existing poll schedules, or otherwise affect SRM’s normal runtime – just run the command, and that’s it. They’re pretty handy if you’re making changes in OneClick/SS, and you want to see them reflected in SRM right away.

Scripts

The scripts are located in “SPECROOT/Install-Tools/SRM-Tools”, named “poll_device.sh” and “poll_landscape_for_events.sh”. You run them like:

                ./poll_device.sh <SRM Tomcat host> <SRM Tomcat port> <OC user> <OC user password> <device model handle (e.g. 0x400052)>

                ./poll_landscape_for_events.sh <SRM Tomcat host> <SRM Tomcat port> <OC user> <OC user password> <landscape name (e.g. fulto02-pc)>
