What dependency does ITCM have on CA iTechnology iGateway? Is it still required after upgrading to ITCM r12.5 from DSM 11.2 SP4?

Solution:

The iTechnology/iGateway was the DSM 11.2 method of performing the Software Content download. We used this as our external solution for connecting to the content server and importing software signatures to the database.

ITCM r12.x now uses the CA Content Import Client (CIC) to perform this task. So if you are using ITCM r12.x, it should be safe to remove iGateway/iTechnology.

Note: Please note that other CA products may be using iGateway/iTechnology. Before uninstalling please check with the other CA product teams to confirm whether iGateway/iTechnology can be removed.
