Question:

We need to know the exact command the CDM probe uses to collect Iostat information on Unix & Linux machine?
We need to be able to test and compare the output outside of the probe.

Answer:

So cdm is doing the following

AIX: iostat -d
Linux: iostat -d -x
Solaris: iostat -x

We obtain the list from that command.

At the start of each poll interval we loop through and set bFound=FALSE
We then run the iostat command, loop through the output and compare the
device name to the entry we have and if matches we parse the data and
set bFound = TRUE.

We at the end call CheckIOStatAlarms, if a device is set to Active and Found = FALSE
we throw the alarm Brian is seeing.

Log Level 4 should catch all necessary output along with an iostat -d
