You run a file restore and you receive the following message:

FILE-ERRR01  JOURNAL RECORD LENGTH + SORT PREFIX EXCEEDS 32767 BYTES; SORT TERMINATED. FILE=DEDAGG  .

This message is concerned with the dataset referred to by the DD name DEDAGG.  Run a LISTCAT on that VSAM dataset. Verify that in the LISCAT you see:

MAXLRECL-----------32738

Check your CA FileSave RCS Automated Recovery (FileSave) maintenance level.  There is a PTF out there:

RO21527 - ENHANCMENT:SUPPORT 32K  LENGTH APPLICATION  RECORDS

This is a CA FileSave 4.0 enhancement PTF that compresses the record before adding CA FileSave keys, and expands the record when needed.  If not applied, please download from CA Support Online and apply it. Then retry the file restore.

If the error still occurs, please open a new CA FileSave contact through CA Support Online.  Please supply support with the complete file restore job output, and a LISTCAT of the dataset referred to by "FILE=XXXXXXX".
