When attempting to use numeric-only username, you can expect the following results in UMP:
?
Example 1: ?
set the variable company.security.auth.type=screenName in portal-ext.properties
?
In the portal.log you will see this exception:
?
15:24:31,932 ERROR [NmsAuth:251] Unable to add user 1234: com.liferay.portal.UserScreenNameException
?
After adding the following line to the properties file: portal-ext.properties:
?
users.screen.name.allow.numeric=true
?
- A nimbus numeric-only user can login to UMP with screenName.
- An LDAP numeric-only user can login to UMP with screenName
?
?
Example 2:
set the variable company.security.auth.type=emailAddress in portal-ext.properties.
?
In the portal.log you will see this exception:
?
an-unexpected-system-error-occurred?
