Introduction:

The ESA Exchange Server Agent (ESA) identifies events passing through the Exchange Server and directs a copy of the event to a policy engine for analysis against the defined user policy.

The ESA 2016 (introduced via FIX:RO98893) comprises of two main file sets wgnsesa*.dll and wgnesa15.dll.  The wgnsesa*.dll manages the Exchange integration and wgnesa15.dll is the MAPI to TNEF encoding mechanism.

Question:
Where are the Exchange Server Agent 2016 WgnTnefLibrary error logs located?
Answer:
"WgnTnef" logs are generated by the Exchange 2016 agent module ( wgnesa15.dll ) whenever error information needs to be logged. This is managed by the "TnefLogTraceLevel" is setting which is configured by default during the installation. These logs are stored in the standard log folder %WGNDATADIR%\Logs.
