Issue:
WSDL URL cannot be read into Desktop Client due to 403 error (Authentication).
Error reads: Server returned HTTP response code 403 for URL: <WSDL URL here>

Error 403 is defined as:

403 Forbidden or No Permission to Access

A 403 Forbidden error means that you do not have permission to view the requested file or resource.

Cause:
Proxy settings are prohibiting access to the resource.
Resolution:
You most likely have proxy settings defined in the Desktop Client that is prohibiting you from reading the contents of the WSDL url. Follow these steps to bypass the defined proxy settings. We will not be making any changes to the defined settings. We are merely going to bypass them by using a direct provider.
  • In Desktop Client, click on the Window menu item.
  • Click Preferences
  • Expand Workbench
  • Expand General
  • Click Network Connections
  • Switch the Active Provider to Direct.
  • Click Apply
  • Click OK
  • Now, in your Web Service Doc Literal job, enter the WSDL URL and click on the green button with an arrow pointing right next to the address bar. This will open the WSDL and allow you to browse it.
  • Follow the remaining steps to configure your Web Service job for what you are looking to accomplish.
