Description:

I am running Web Agent on the BackEnd Server and this backend server can be reached only by port 7007. I put an SSL OffLoader acting as well as a Reverse Proxy in front of the Web Agent BackEnd Server. I have set the Web Agent ACO Parameters :

getportfromheaders='yes'
httpsports='7007'

But I see that authentication request set the TARGET with the port still set to 7007 as :

https://credentialcollector.domain.com/siteminderagent/forms/login.fcc?...TARGET=-SM-https://mysite.domain.com:7007/index.html

and obviously, when user is authenticated, the browser requests :

https://mysite.domain.com:7007/index.html

which port 7007 is not available on the SSL OffLoader but just on the Backend Web Agent Web Server.

Why is that such behavior ? I think that if I put 7007 in httpsports, then the port should not be seen anymore ?

Solution:

HttpsPorts will set the request on https only, which means the url will start with

HTTPS://

and not

HTTP://

If you want to remove the port, in sort that the URL will be accepted by the SSL OffLoader, you do need to rewrite URL, which can be done on the SSL OffLoader if it acts also as a Reverse Proxy. The Web Agent itself cannot rewrite URL's.
