Question:
We currently have CA CSM 5.1 running now. I am in the process of installing (full install not an upgrade) CA CSM 6.0.

Is there anything that I should collect/do from CA CSM 5.1 before I stop it so that it will make migration of the SMPE libraries/database creation easier?

Also, what else do I need to do after I get the 6.0 up and running?
Answer:
In CA CSM 5.1 please collect the following:

- Take screen prints of all of the System Settings Pages, especially Software Acquisition.
For example:

- Take screen prints of the System Registry for each System Type

4. Expand each System Type (Non-Sysplex, Sysplex, Select shared DASD clusters and Staging Systems) and screen  print the page of System names belonging to each.

5. Go to the SMP/E Tab and screen print the SMP/E Environment names which will also show the CSI dataset name.

Then after you bring up CA CSM 6.0, complete the definitions for the same using the screen shots you took from your CA CSM 5.1.
