Issue:

We are installing CA Datacom/AD and receive this error when trying to run job AD14STRT to start the Multi-user (MUF) for the first time:

  DB00205E - MULTI-USER ERROR 1211 CXXNAME CXXPROD VS CXX0NAME

Environment:

CA Datacom/AD 14.0
z/OS

Resolution:

There is a mismatch of the CXX names you have specified for this MUF installation:

  CXXNAME xxxxxxxx VS yyyyyyyy

  The x in the message is the CXX name provided in the DBSIDPR module.
  The y is the CXX name in the CXX being used. The names do not match.

So, for DB00205E - MULTI-USER ERROR - 1211 CXXNAME CXXPROD VS CXX0NAME:

In the CA Datacom/AD 14.0 customization job INSTJCL(AXCUS01), you have coded "CXXPROD" as the value for "CXXNAME=" for your DBSIDPR but you coded "CXX0NAME" in the CXXINIT step of job AXNEW01.

To correct, in the CXXINIT step of job AXNEW01, you can leave the * as it is in:

INIT AREA=CXX,DATACOM=AD,CXXNAME=*       "*" means the name will be taken from the DBSIDPR (i.e., CXXPROD)

Then rerun AXNEW01.

Additional Information:

Run DBUTLTY job with the following SYSIN to dump the DBSIDPR you are using:

//SYSIN DD *
SET OPTION1=DUMPPGM=DBSIDPR
/*

Then, double check the CXX^NAME value in your DBSIDPR.
