Issue:

WDEPLOY error when attempting to upgrade CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.x Tomcat web server

Environment:
CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.xAll Supported Windows Operating Systems
Cause:

WDEPLOY log file contains an error similar to the following:

Unable to delete file E:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.PlatformSearchAppActions\web\WEB-INF\src\com\businessobjects\clientaction\platformsearch\platformsearchscheduling\scheduleduration\PlatformSearchScheduleDurationBean.java

Resolution:

1.  Stop Apache Tomcat service via the Central Configuration Manager (CCM) on the CABI server

2.  Manually delete the file(s) referenced in the WDEPLOY logs (i.e. E:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting4\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\eclipse\plugins\webpath.PlatformSearchAppActions\web\WEB-INF\src\com\businessobjects\clientaction\platformsearch\platformsearchscheduling\scheduleduration\PlatformSearchScheduleDurationBean.java)

3.  Re-run the WDEPLOY utility and proceed with the CABI Tomcat update as per https://docops.ca.com/ca-business-intelligence/4-1sp5/en/administrating/cabi-administration-for-windows/miscellaneous-configurations/upgrade-tomcat
