Question:
Customer wants to confirm if the WAAE timezone from America/São Paulo is updated to the new DST dates changed by Brazilian government in 2017/12.
Answer:
Autosys gets it's timezone from the Operating System. However if AutoSys can't find the timezone from the OS then it looks at the AutoSys ujo_timezones table.
To check the timezone in the AutoSys DB, run the autotimezone command.
example:
autotimezone -l| grep Sao
America/Sao_Paulo                                  Zone     EST3EDT,M10.3.0/00:00:00,M2.3.0/00:00:00

"M10.3.0/00:00:00" indicates:
M10 is 10th month (October)
.3 is the third occurrence of the day in the month (in this example, the 3rd Sunday)
.0 is Sunday
00:00:00 is the time, (12:00 am)

"M2.3.0/00:00:00" indicates:
M2 is the 2nd month (February)
.3 is the third occurrence of the day in the month (in this example, the 3rd Sunday)
.0 is Sunday

It appears the timezone for Sao Paulo has been changed for 2018.
Year DST End (Clock Backword) DST Start (Clock Forward)
2018 Sunday, February 18, 12:00 midnight Sunday, November 4, 12:00 midnight

Use sql to update the the ujo_timezones table.
example:
update ujo_timezones set zone='EST3EDT,M11.1.0/00:00:00,M2.3.0/00:00:00' where name = 'America/Sao_Paulo'
