Symptoms
VMS Install gives errors when used to change the name of an Agent.

Cause
The VMS install will display error messages similar to those above when used to change the name of an Agent.  However, everything gets updated correctly and the name change is successful so these errors can be ignored.
 You will receive this type of error when it is looking for the validation.dat file, which does not exist on the VMS Remote Agent, when it is looking for <OldAgentName>.APPWORX (which has already been renamed to the new Agent name, so doesn't exist), and when it looks in the status directory for the <OldAgentName> file, which has been changed to just AgentService. However, everything gets updated correctly and the name change is successful.


 
Resolution:
The errors are non-fatal and can be ignored.
