Question:

How can I verify the installation of CA XCOM?

Answer:

Doing a successful loopback transfer will ensure that XCOM was installed correctly for use with the TCPIP protocol.

Here is a sample loop.cnf file:

REMOTE_SYSTEM=127.0.0.1
LOCAL_FILE=/opt/CA/XCOM/config/xcom.cnf
REMOTE_FILE=/opt/CA/XCOM/config/test
FILE_OPTION=CREATE
PROTOCOL=TCPIP

Change the filename in loop.cnf if you need to and put it in the /opt/CA/XCOM/config directory. Execute the following command line transfer, filling in your userid and password:

XCOMTCP -c1 -f /opt/CA/XCOM/config/loop.cnf userid=xxxxxxx password=xxxxxx
