Description :Uvms crashes and taking lot of CPU ressources while is running. No other process than Java is running at the time of the crash

UVMS attempts to read/write/query its database while having a spike in memory usage. This may occur during the scheduled derby database hot backup (which is set to run every 50 minutes) and consumes up to 800Mb of additional memory; the CPU may also spike to 90-100% for roughly 1 minute while running.
