Problem:

I upgraded from UIM 8.31 to 8.4 and on the USM Home page I now get the following error:

An unknown error has occurred.

Refreshing your browser may resolve the issue.

com.firehunter.ump.exceptions.DataFactoryException : null

Subsequently I was unable to access the USM portlet/page.

 

Environment:

UIM 8.4

 

Workaround:

  1. Deploy ems and alarm_routing_service probe packages to the primary hub from the local primary hub archive
  2. Activate both probes
  3. Deactivate the trellis probe
  4. Activate trellis probe
  5. Cold start the wasp probe (Deactivate-Activate)

Test access to USM once again and it should work as expected.
