Using the Standalone (thick client) Workstation, after the APM Status Console is opened the workstation exits almost immediately.

Issue:

Using the standalone (thick client) workstation,  after the APM Status Console is opened the workstation exits almost immediately (just hover over and no click required). The problem does not occur when using the Web Start workstation.

Environment:
To date this problem has been confirmed in Standalone Workstation versions 10.5.1 HF1 (10.5.1.8), 10.5.2 (10.5.2.15)
Cause:

The problem only occurs when there Active Clamps for an EM e.g. Collector, which has red icon. The workstation is not able to display the list of Active Clamps and exits.

By default standalone workstation standalone does not log to a file and only to the console. To enable log file logging change the IntroscopeWorkstation.properties file "log4j.logger.Workstation" line as follows (can also change INFO to DEBUG): log4j.logger.Workstation=DEBUG, console, logfile

With above logging enabled the following messages can be seen in the IntroscopeWorkstation.log:

Resolution:

This problem is resolved in Standalone Workstation version 10.5.2 SP2.

NOTE: Standalone Workstation version 10.5.2 SP2 is not currently available for download from the the CA support portal so please create a new case to obtain a copy from CA Support.
