Several users are unable to launch iXp after updating their Java to 1.6.0_71. They get an "unable to launch the application error" We are running 188.8.131.5239 from a Linux host.
Problem was identified as a browser/proxy issue and was resolved as follows: open the 32bit java control panel: o start > run o "c:\program files (x86)\java\jre7\bin\javacpl.exe"
- On the general tab, network setting button.
- Choose "direct connection"
