Users can not log into applications EiamAdmin Account Locked

Problem: 

EiamAdmin password locked

 

Environment:  

EEM 12.+ releases in all environments. 

 

Cause: 

Embedding application contacting EEM with wrong password causing the EiamAdmin account to lock.

 

Resolution:

1. To list sessions connecting to EEM run command netstart -na | findstr "5250"

2. Shut down all applications and application components

3. In LDAP browser reset and verify the password. Set login count to zero, set pzsuspended to false, and suspenddate to zero.

    Disconnect from Ldap browser - reconnect - verify password

4. Log into EEM

5. Change the EEM password for all embedding applications via embedding application procedures

6. Start up applications
