Description

Users are unable to run CA Business Intelligence (CABI) Web Intelligence (WEBI) reports.  Users receive an error indicating that the application is blocked by Java Security.

Solution

The application that you are running is blocked because the application does not comply with security guidelines implemented in Java

Work Around #1:

Steps to Add CABI URLs to the Exception Site list

  • Go to the Java Control Panel (On Windows Click Start and then Configure Java)
  • Click on the Security tab
  • Click on the Edit Site List button
  • Click Add in the Exception Site List window

Work Around #2:

If there are multiple versions of Java installed, uninstall all versions of Java from the workstation and then attempt to create a new report. The required Java plugin will be reinstalled.
