We are in the process of upgrading Clarity 15.2 to 15.4. At the same time, we are moving the database from a host running Oracle 11g to 12cR2. In another ticket (case 01011275) we were advised to migrate the database and then run the checkinstall utility to verify that everything was set up properly. I have not been able to get PPM to successfully connect to the migrated database, but I am able to connect manually via sqlplus.
I found this error msg in the log:
7/02/18 2:11 PM (UnknownElement) Task "nsql" finished with error. /tmp/extract_install/checkinstall/scripts/check-db-export-permissions.xml:18: java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-12514 Connection refused, the specified service name (cltydev)
'citydev' was SID name that we had used on the prior DB server host. I have changed the SID and the jdbc connection string value in the properties.xml on the app server to reflect the new DB server host info.
I grepped through the whole clarity home folder, but could not find any reference to this old SID, except for in the (older) log files from pre-migration.
Why is the check install utility failing with this error? Where is getting the old SID value from?
